PPP2 : TASK 7

PART 1 & 2 :


The below is an example of how Menosunocerouno promote themselves to potential clients. It is a creative survival pack 'just incase' the world ends. It is playful, which shows that the studio has a sense of humour. It is also creative, so is an indication to clients that the work they would get from this studio would be imaginative with strong interesting concepts.






S - Creative piece of work with a clever concept. Unique and beautifully excecuted, showing that the studio is of high standard, which reflects to the client the type of work they will be getting.
W - Although it is an interesting piece of work done by the studio, it is not showcasing the work they do/have done. The client would not know what this studio specialise in. Also lacking contact details.
O -   Could create a publication that showcases the work they have done that goes in the pack. Also include a buisness card or some form of contact details
T - There is alot to this pack, it could prove to be expencive as a free gift to client, may cause a loss of money.


Ro and Co

This is a promotional christmas gift to clients that Ro and Co have worked with during the year. By sending out this promotional item it may entice the client to use Ro and Co again and again which is always a good thing to have a well developed client relationship. This gift is a Ro - Co - rdial. This is a whity clever concept, which highlights who the studio are. The product is creative and interactive with the client. Shows a level of layout design but is more about the concept.




S - Interactive with audience, gets them involved making the drink. Visually very pleasing and striking, representing the work they do. Amusing concept of Ro& Cordial, shows that the studio has whit and clever concept generations.
W - The design is very simple, it is represented by photographs as having many different things in the box, shakers, glass etc, but actually it is just the cordial, might dissapoint the client.
O - Could include more than just the bottle of juice could develop it further into a wider range. No indication of showacasing work, could produce something that can be included that shows the client what they have been up to this year.
T - Client might not like that flavour cordial.


Construct 

Again another christmas send out to clients. This is once more humorous, tongue and cheek, showcasing the personality of the studio. A cleaver fun concept, not just a picture of a snowman, the card has a concept behind it. The product has been produced by letter press which shows a skill the studio has / someone in the studio has



S - Fun, creative and clever. Good way of representing the personality of the studio. As there is a conept behind the card/poster the client will know that this studio is concept driven and has come up with one succesfully.
W - It does not appear to say who the poster is from. Not obvious it is from construct, client might forgot who it is from.
O - Develop it in to more of a range. They have put effort into making a poster why not push it further and create something that is really unique
T -  Client might not celebrate chirstmas, client might love chirstmas an unhealthy amount and feel sad that someone has approached a card in a 'not again' sort of way. Might not reach client with chirstmas post.



Bellow is the self branding for Heyday. There is a full range of many many products that may prove useful around a studio. The finish of the products looks really beauriful which showcases the quality of this design studio. The range has been pushed to such a level that it is impressive, it has also been done in a really nice way where by everything works together, but is not exactly the same, so it's not like they have jsut slaped the same logo on everything, it is well concidered and excecuted work, which will come across well to the client, as these are things they will most likely want for their jobs.








 

S - Well excecuted range, finish of products is of very high standards. Well thought out product range, deisgned and presented well. Also good showcase of different finishes  like embossing shows that the studio is experianced.
W - Products might be less impact when they are on there own as you see them in the photograph in a whole range. Might dissapoint client to just receive a buisness card when there is this range available.
O - Think of creative ways to put all this branding together neatly to send to clients to show the high standards they ahcieve 
- Design is quite neutral, I personally really love the simplicity, but will someone from a non creative background take notice of this branding over the one that is bright and loud.


This is a limited edition print that Field released as a free poster to those who ordered it first come first served. The fact that it is limited edition makes the poster feel like it is more special and collectable, it adds value to it. This is a good way of promoting work as it is a talking point. People will ask where did you get that poster , or you might explain the concept to someone, things like that. It will get people talking and therefore promote the studio.






S - Well thought out concept of promotion, it will work well to generate interest in their studio. The packaging has been concidred for the poster add a high quality feel to the work.
W - It is just one poster and althought it will cause excitment and talk about the studio, it is not showcasing who the studio is, what they do etc
O - Include a publication with exampled of their work in the packaging of the poster.
T - It is always a risk doing things for free. 


This is a book that celebrates the design studio Family. It is a publication the features work done by Family over the years. It is very clean with simple layouts which is how Family have chosen toe portray themselves 



S - Lots of work on show, neat easy to follow, easy to understand very audinece friendly. Good way of potential clients seeing what kind of work they do
W - As it is very neutral and plain it could get lost amogstn other studio books.
O - could develop a more striking concept, whch would make the peice alot more memorable
T - Work might not be shown off to full potential due to simplicity of book.



Branded calender for clients. A creative way to show clients the work you do. Also good way to highlight things to clinet.




S - creative, interesting, unique will stand out 
W - Doesnt say on it who it is by.
O - put buisness card with calender or logo somewhere
T - if it remains anomonys the client might foget who did the work.


Book featuring work of Tsto. Nice to have everything in one collection. It is bright and friendly which is a messege the studio are putting across, how they are representhing themselves.



  

S - Bright and friendly it gives a good impression of the studio
W - concept of smiliy face doesnt work when you just have a single book
o - develop concept further make happy posters, create a range
T - Books run a risk of getting lost in house piles.

Build

Build like many design studios have a strong online presence. They showcase their work across many platrfomrs online such blog , social media, mailing list, publications. They have also made a catalogue publication showcasing all there work to date.






S - Very strong self promotion skills across the platform of digital and also print.
W - There is alot to look at
O - As there is way more digital promo going on maybe more print promo should be created to maintain a balance
T - So much stuff on the web these days there things might get overlooked.

Raw

This is an event that was put on by Raw celebrating their 5 year aniversary and also celebrating other creatives in that area. By creating an event the studios name will automatically be out there. They have put on an event which shows organisation skills to the client which might be very impressive. The event showcases their work but also shows the work of other creatives in the building / area.




S -  Great way of meeting new clients, networking and talking to people. Show that the studio has an interest in the creative industry, the just their own studio. Shows organisation skills which will be a benifit for clients to see.
W - Other designers will also be there, networking with potential clients too. There will be an element of competition in the room. 
O - The event shows the work of others. Run the risk of losing thier own work amongst it. Maybe have their work seperate to others work ore make it obvious.
T - Putting on an event is putting yourself out there , you run the risk of people not turning up and the event being a failure, and therefore losing the money you have invested in it.


Evaluation :

From looking at different ways Studios promote themselves I can see that the most succesful and memorbale ones were where there was a strong concept. This made the work stand out a lot more and will get that studio more jobs.
